When is a T not a T ?
(When its a Crayford !)

The images on the left are from a four page brochure published by Crayford Auto Development Limited.  They specialised in producing conversions of saloon Mercedes.

This brochure shows W116
S Class conversions and also a W114 conversion.

MB obviously thought this was a good idea and finally produced their first factory built estate car in 1979 based on the W123.  The T-range was born.

The picture at the bottom  shows the back  page of the brochure.  It describes the conversions and gives the dimensions.

Woking Motors were the "sole concessionaires" for these cars.  They are still in existence at the same address which is coincidently quite near the home of the author of w123.net.
