1982 Vintage US Brochure

These lovely pages are from a small 9 x 5 in brochure published  in the US.  It contains pictures of the  range of Mercedes cars at this time including:

300SD Turbodiesel

380 SEL

380 SL

380 SEC

However here you can only see the W123 models .

The W123's got three pages - the other guys only got a page each !

Here is a sample of the text from the introduction to this brochure:

"Genius, it has been said, is in the details.  And what may ultimately separate Mercedes-Benz from all other automobiles is precisely that: the care, the skill, the engineering thoroughness invested in the aerodynamic efficiency of the windshield wipers no less than the power output of the engine, the precise placement of electronic sensors for the climate control system no less than the geometry of the front suspension. 

So if this brochure seems more than usually devoted to engineering specifics, facts and figures, it is because an understanding of its technical detailing is necessary to understand what makes a Mercedes-Benz a Mercedes-Benz."
